A property URL is blocked or will not import

Troubleshooting · All users · Reviewed

Handle HTTP 403, rate limits, changed URLs and duplicate-property messages without losing saved work.

Check the link and exact error

Public property sites can refuse automated retrieval, rate-limit a connection or remove a page. A source HTTP 200 alone does not prove details and photos were saved. The preview, listing save and photo copying are separate stages.

Take the matching next step

  1. Confirm the link opens an individual public Zillow or Redfin property page. Replace search, short, account-only or malformed links with the property's full URL.
  2. For HTTP 403 or a source refusal, keep the exact URL and error. Do not repeatedly submit it or treat an empty preview as success. A later retry may help, but source access is not guaranteed.
  3. For a rate-limit message, wait for the stated retry period before trying again. Do not refresh repeatedly.
  4. After changing a URL, preview the new address successfully before saving. Your old preview may remain visible for reference.
  5. For an existing-property message, find the original saved listing instead of importing another copy. For saved details with missing photos, use the photo recovery article.

Keep moving without inventing data

Manual entry and authorized original photos remain available when a source cannot be retrieved. Only enter facts you can verify. Send your administrator the exact error and the stage that failed; never include passwords, cookies or secret keys.
